Kala Nritya Academy started in 2016 in Stavanger. The Academy was founded by Reshma Nehe, a professional Bharatanatyam and Kathak danseuse, who has been performing on international platforms since the 1990s. Kala Nritya Academy hosts Indian Classical dances, Bharatanatyam classes and Kathak. The academy has been around for the last 8 years and has primarily taught Bharatnatyam, with Kathak classes launched this year.

Reshma Nehe is a professional Bharatanatyam and Kathak danseuse, Choreographer, Performer and teacher. She started learning dance at 6 years old. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience in this field. She is a Silver medallist in the Masters in Performing Arts.

She started her dance school in India before moving to Stavanger, Norway in 2016, where she has been teaching for 10 years. She has performed in international events in India, Norway, the UK, the Netherlands and New Jersey USA.

She dreams of bringing the rich heritage of Indian art forms to Norway, by teaching children, and adults. 

At the Asker Kultur Festival, Reshma Nehe and her group will be showcasing 3 performances, including a group and a solo masterpiece.
